Look of the day: Cotton Candy

Pretty pastel fashion is on trend this spring 2012 with several designers showing looks for spring and summer in these pale hues. I loved the sugary sweet pastel shades that coated the Spring/Summer 2012 catwalks. The high street has picked up the candy shop trend with aplomb, with a whole host of girly pieces. To wear this look in a modern fashion, combine different colors in pastel separates as shown in this post.

Look for colors such as pale yellow, blush pink, icy blue, or light lavender to forget today's very un-Spring-like weather outside like I did, and start to enjoy your day as if it was the last one! It just might encourage the warmer weather...

Look of the day: After-hours booties.

We don't usually associate ankle boots with summer dressing but thanks to fashionable ladies like Rashida Jones and Karlie Kloss, we're beginning to rethink the idea. A longtime signature of the model-off-duty wardrobe and a Balmain staple, the after-hours ankle boot is quickly gaining ground at both red carpet premieres and fancier fashion events. Lately I've been loving this look so much because the shoes offer a touch of toughness, which in turn gives dressed-up looks a cool edge you wouldn't otherwise get from a pair of pumps or sandals. A year-round essential that every girl should own now, the after-hours ankle boot is the subject of today's look!

***

Look of the day: Leopard print

Leopard print is such a statement, as shown by DKNY and House of Holland in their runway shows for Spring/ Summer. In denim, this can be worn in faded pastel shades of mint, blue and rose with a subtle leopard or snake print for added wow-factor.

I decided to team these show-stopping jeans with a plain black tee and flats for daytime, and heels in the evening.

RO who's the KING ?

Hey dear friends, followers and stalkers, today's outfit is what I call "edgy + comfort" for those busy  non stop days, even if you go hiking you won't be bothered by your clothes at all! check it out..

Since the weather hasn't improved at all, and it's still windy it is a perfect choice to wear jeans with a dressy shirt to make your outfit look stylish.

Mixing it with a pair of flat ankle boots, and a ponytail to make it a clean casual look.

I wanted to create a comfortable but edgy outfit, so I decided to wear the "it" pair from the comfortness kingdom my True Religion indigo Jeggings*, they suit as PJ's!

(*Highly recommended if you are a legging lover like me.)

So in order to create the edgy side I wore a stylish shirt, with a black/tan pattern, simulating an "animal print", mixing it with a black mesh ruffled vest to make it more casual, adding some contrast to the upper part.

And to add a "world traveler" trendy touch I add a pair of tan leather Wichita booties, which I consider my casual slippers I can walk around for hours and they won't bother me at any time.

At last but not least the accesorizing part, I used a pair of chained ocher vintage earings with my favorite Indian bangle! and a classic styled Casio watch, mixed with pearl bracelets from my granny's jewelry box.

The tan leather messenger bag from Spain! the most comfy bag I got ever since, I can carry everything inside !

To add the styling a perfect touch check out this vintage tortoise round sunglasses, oh my they're absolutely GOR-GE-OUSSS!!!

Hope u liked it !

LOTS OF LOVE!
MARIANA
