Look of the day: Denim Jacket

A denim jacket is essential for adding a timeless casual layer to your year-round wardrobe, choose one that works well with an all-denim uniform and over a little ladylike dress or in my case with a crop top, paired with a high-waisted skirt: The perfect match for spring '14. The denim jacket will make a lot more approachable look even if the sliver of skin still feels like too much,  the part of a visible stomach is even smaller. This way, the effect is almost more like a subtle cut-out, rather than baring your entire mid-section.

***Una chaqueta de mezclilla en tu guardarropa es esencial  debido a su atemporalidad  durante todo el año, elige una que funcione bien con un uniforme completo de mezclilla y en un pequeño vestido ladylike o en este caso con un crop top combinado con una falda de cintura alta: El complemento perfecto para la primavera '14. La chaqueta de mezclilla hará tu look mucho más accesible,  incluso si enseñar un poco de piel todavía se siente como mucho, la parte de un estómago visible será aún más pequeña. De esta manera, el efecto es más como un sutil corte, en lugar de desnudar por completo tu sección media.

High fashion was a big target this year for parody T-shirts, so I decided to wear this on the celine paint brush logo print, ‘CE’ crossed out left with “line” and ‘Paris’ replaced with “up the bitches”. “Ce Line Up The Bitches” T-shirt is one of the favorites who did parodies this year, what are you waiting to get yours!!!

Look of the day: Oversized Floppy Straw Hat

Getting dressed is never easy when it's sweltering outside, not only do hats protect your face from the sun, they're really freakin' cute! This 1970’s inspired style has been making a big comeback recently. Not just meant for the beach anymore, this look can be worn with almost any outfit! The retro vibe makes it a perfect hat to pair with those summer dresses and skirts, not to mention they are always perfect, when worn with sunglasses. This hat trend not only looks amazing, but helps protect your face from the sun, with its floppy brim making sure your skin stays protected all summer long.

*** Conseguir estar bien vestida nunca es fácil sobre todo cuando el calor es sofocante, los sombreros no sólo protegen tu cara del sol, sino que son realmente divinos! Este estilo inspirado en los 70's ha estado haciendo un gran regreso durante la temporada. No sólo quiere decir que lo puedes usar en la playa, este look se puede usar con casi cualquier outfit! La vibra retro del sombrero hace que sea un accesorio perfecto para combinar con vestidos de verano y faldas, siempre son perfectos usándolos con gafas de sol. Esta tendencia no sólo se ve increíble, además te ayuda a proteger tu rostro del sol, con su aleta floppy asegurándose de que la piel permanezca protegida durante todo el verano.

Look of the day: Black Crochet

The only way you can wear wool clothing in the summer time, is if there are lots of holes in it. Case in point: the crochet trend that is sweeping the fashion world this summer. And it’s not just crochet clothing – knit, weave, and macramé are all variations on this holey style. I combined a flirty and feminine pair of crochet shorts with a vibrant yet simple red top and a black blazer. This is definitely one of those trends that works well when paired with contrasting styles.

***La única manera en que puedes usar ropa de lana en el verano, es solo si tiene un montón de agujeros. El caso en cuestión: la tendencia crochet que está barriendo el mundo de la moda este verano. Y no sólo la ropa crochet - tejido de punto, tejido y macramé son algunas variaciones de este estilo holey. Yo combiné un par de pantalones cortos de crochet con un top rojo vibrante con un simple blazer negro y una blusa roja. Esta es sin duda una de las tendencias que funciona bien cuando se combina con estilos contrastantes.

Look of the day: Neon pop

We all know that in order to make an outfit really pop, you have to master the element of surprise. There’s nothing that'll liven up your look more than bold neon accessories mixed with the black and white trend. This look is about feminine sophistication, black and white prints in a cinched waisted skirt and a basic black top for a great look. This coming spring don’t doubt the notion that the most basic of colors can come together to create a beautiful warm weather wardrobe that just might get you snapped by a street style photographer.

*** Todos sabemos que para hacer que un look resalte tienes que dominar al elemento sorpresa. No hay nada que vaya darle vida a tu look más que los accesorios neón mezclados con la tendencia del momento: blanco y negro. Este look se trata de sofisticación femenina, estampados en blanco y negro en una falda de cintura ceñida y un top negro para lograr un gran look. Esta próxima primavera no dudo de la idea de que el más básico de los colores se pueda unir para crear un vestuario hermoso para un clima cálido que podría conseguir la atención de cualquiera. 

Look of the day: Little yellow dress

From lemon, to canary, to mustard, and everything in between, the spring runways were all about the LYD—the little yellow dress. I took the warm weather as the perfect opportunity to show you this amazing and classic look! I love this dress, it has just the right amount of black details in the waist and along the arms. Plus the fresh linen fabric makes it delightfully cool in the heat. I used a pair of black ballerinas to make it a casual outfit, perfect for a busy work day!!!

***De limón, canario, a mostaza, y todos lo demás tonos, las pasarelas de primavera fueron todo sobre el LYD- el vestido amarillo. Tomé el clima cálido como la oportunidad perfecta para mostrar este look increíble y clásico! Me encanta este vestido, tiene la cantidad justa de detalles negros en la cintura y por los brazos. Además, la tela de lino hace que sea deliciosamente fresco en el calor. He utilizado un par de bailarinas negras en este look para que sea un atuendo casual, perfecto para un ajetreado día de trabajo!
