Look of the day: Denim Jacket

A denim jacket is essential for adding a timeless casual layer to your year-round wardrobe, choose one that works well with an all-denim uniform and over a little ladylike dress or in my case with a crop top, paired with a high-waisted skirt: The perfect match for spring '14. The denim jacket will make a lot more approachable look even if the sliver of skin still feels like too much,  the part of a visible stomach is even smaller. This way, the effect is almost more like a subtle cut-out, rather than baring your entire mid-section.

***Una chaqueta de mezclilla en tu guardarropa es esencial  debido a su atemporalidad  durante todo el año, elige una que funcione bien con un uniforme completo de mezclilla y en un pequeño vestido ladylike o en este caso con un crop top combinado con una falda de cintura alta: El complemento perfecto para la primavera '14. La chaqueta de mezclilla hará tu look mucho más accesible,  incluso si enseñar un poco de piel todavía se siente como mucho, la parte de un estómago visible será aún más pequeña. De esta manera, el efecto es más como un sutil corte, en lugar de desnudar por completo tu sección media.

Look of the day: Geometric print

Geometry, expressed through print, shapes and interesting textures, was present all over the catwalk during London fashion week. Perhaps the most original use of it was at Christopher Kane, where intricate origami-style folds featured on dresses to stunning effect.

In this post I decided to championed the geometric trend, integrating the concept into both print and cut. The nuance this season is that geometric shapes are appearing within the context of an overall softer, folkier look with a monochrome style that has been around for the last few seasons.

Tal vez el uso más original fue con Christopher Kane, donde los pliegues de estilo origami dando rasgos a los vestidos con efectos impresionantes. 

En este post he decidido defender la tendencia geométrica, integrando el concepto en el estampado y el corte. El matiz de esta temporada es que las formas geométricas están apareciendo en el contexto de un look más suave, por lo general de estilo monocromático el cual ya ha existido durante las últimas temporadas.

Look of the day: Orange is the new black

I doubt the creators behind the addictive Netflix series, Orange Is the New Black, realized they were predicting a major New York Fashion Week color moment when they dreamed up the show's title. In this post I wanted to create a contrast with my two favorite colors, black and white! I love the details of  lace and leather in this Velvet Oak skirt, its so dressy and feminine with a touch of roughness ! The way the sweatshirt dresses it down is my favorite part. I consider this an edgy look perfect to wear it from day to night. What do you think ??

***Dudo mucho que los creadores detrás de la serie adictiva de Netflix, el naranja es el nuevo negro, se hayan dado cuenta que habían pronosticado un importante momento de color en la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York cuando le pusieron ese título a la serie. En este post he querido crear un contraste con mis dos colores preferidos, blanco y negro! Me encantan los detalles de encaje y cuero en esta falda de Velvet Oak, es tan elegante y femenina pero con un toque de rudeza! La sensación de comodidad que da la sudadera es mi parte favorita. Considero que este es un look vanguardista perfecto para usarlo desde el día a la noche! ¿Qué opinas? Feliz día de San Valentín!

Look of the day: Mesh Boots

 Stunning, modern, on-trend and breathable are the best words to describe the mesh boots that just came in my front door yesterday morning. I must confess that after wearing them my love affair for boots is going beyond,  this stunning mesh boots are the clue item for dressing up a simple and casual look,  far from weighing down the look. However, this mesh delicate design hiding parts yet subtly revealing others, elusively hinting at nudity is just flawless!

***Impresionantes, modernas, a la moda y transpirables son las mejores palabras para describir las botas de malla que acaba de llegar a mi puerta ayer por la mañana. Debo confesar que después de usarlos mi amor por las botas va más allá, estas impresionantes botas son el elemento clave para ir mas allá de un look sencillo y casual, lejos de sobre cargar el look. Este delicado diseño de malla oculta partes pero todavía revela sutilmente otras haciendo alusión a la desnudez del pie, son simplemente perfectas!

Look of the day: Evening Slippers

 It’s not often that a footwear trend emerges that both guys and girls can embrace with equal glee. But this season is full of them, from oxfords and loafers to brogues and now, the evening slipper. The style’s regal roots are what made these shoes a preppy staple today, especially when embroidered with motifs such as a skull and crossbones or in my case with my name initials! They do still come in gorgeous velvet, but they’ve also been given a makeover with materials more appropriate for daytime and denim, and crossed over from a menswear eccentricity to one of the most fashionable footwear choices a girl can make.

*** No es frecuente que una tendencia de calzado le guste tanto los chicos como las chicas con la misma alegría. Pero esta temporada está llena de ellas, desde oxfords, mocasines y, ahora, las slippers. Las raíces reales de este estilo son lo que hacen de estos zapatos un elemento básico y de muy buen gusto, especialmente cuando están bordadas con motivos tales como una calavera y huesos cruzados o en mi caso con mis iniciales! Este modelo no nada mas viene en un precioso terciopelo, sino que también se les ha dado un cambio de imagen con los materiales más apropiados para el día, y cruzaron desde una excentricidad de ropa masculina a una de las opciones de calzado de moda que una chica puede usar.

Aquí les dejo una propuesta para la vida real siguiendo ese va va voom en un par de pantalones negros con brillantes líneas doradas  y un chaleco de pelo ceñido para resaltar la línea de la cintura, es perfecto para las fiestas decembrinas!
