Look of the day: Geometric print

Geometry, expressed through print, shapes and interesting textures, was present all over the catwalk during London fashion week. Perhaps the most original use of it was at Christopher Kane, where intricate origami-style folds featured on dresses to stunning effect.

In this post I decided to championed the geometric trend, integrating the concept into both print and cut. The nuance this season is that geometric shapes are appearing within the context of an overall softer, folkier look with a monochrome style that has been around for the last few seasons.

Tal vez el uso más original fue con Christopher Kane, donde los pliegues de estilo origami dando rasgos a los vestidos con efectos impresionantes. 

En este post he decidido defender la tendencia geométrica, integrando el concepto en el estampado y el corte. El matiz de esta temporada es que las formas geométricas están apareciendo en el contexto de un look más suave, por lo general de estilo monocromático el cual ya ha existido durante las últimas temporadas.

Look of the day: 3D

The standout white shade was a hit on the catwalks during NYFW with models dressed from head to toe in the crisp color. White was a major theme at 3.1 Phillip Lim, Thakoon, Derek Lam, Carolina Herrera, Ralph Rucci, Victoria Beckham and more. I used this amazing 3D blazer from SIGNATURE by Velvet Oak, to make a statement in my look ! Never underestimate the power of a bold pop of vibrant red lipstick to add some interest to the face and remember to keep your eyes and skin bare and minimalistic.

Look of the day: I love stripes!

Today I'm showing a little bit of skin, but I'm loving this amazing trend, crop tops are the fashion equivalent of learning how to drive: it’s scary at first but with a little practice you’ll feel confident enough to try it on your own. This spring / summer we see the crop top stick around for another year, continuing to feel fresh simply for the fact that it’s a trend that can never become over-saturated, it’s not for everyone.

***Hoy estoy mostrando un poco de piel, pero me encanta esta tendencia esta increíble, las blusas cortas son el equivalente a aprender a conducir: se trata del miedo al principio, pero con un poco de práctica te sentirás lo suficientemente segura como para intentarlo por tu cuenta. Esta primavera / verano vemos la parte superior mas corta desde hace un año para sentirse fresco, claro sin dejar de saber de que es una tendencia que nunca puede verse ser sobre-saturada, al mismo tiempo que no es para todo el mundo.

Look of the day: Wrap skirt

This warm weather calls for leg-baring looks, and I can’t think of a more flattering option than the season’s stylish wrap skirt. While some are elegant and polished, and others are printed and playful, they all feature an asymmetrical hem that adds just the right amount of edge. The strategically placed split is alluring without appearing too risqué, which makes these skirts ideal for both the office or a night out.

***Este clima cálido exige dejar las piernas al descubierto, y no podemos pensar en una opción más halagadora que las faldas wrap, un must de la temporada. Mientras que algunas son elegantes y pulidas, y otros están estampadas, todas ellas cuentan con un dobladillo asimétrico que añade la cantidad justa de vanguardia. La división colocada estratégicamente está fascinando sin parecer demasiado atrevida, lo que hace que estas faldas sean una opción ideal para la oficina o una noche de fiesta.
