Look of the day: Spring dress

Spring is arriving and with it the chance to update our wardrobes with fresh new pieces that are in line with 2014′s fashion trends. And while it’s up to you as to how you choose to interpret and adapt the trends to suit your own personal style, that doesn’t mean I'm going to leave you short on guidance and inspiration. Think clashes, contrasts, cut+paste craziness… this palette is all about a wild mix of colours and textures. 

I decided to clash this post with a purple layered dress gift from a very good friend designer Noé Roa and a yellow chunky necklace for a spring saturday, with a touch of metallic with an oversized clutch, you should definitely try to clash it !

*** La primavera está llegando y con ella la posibilidad de actualizar nuestros armarios con  prendas frescas alineadas con las tendencias de moda del 2014. Y depende de ustedes elegir  para interpretar y adaptar las tendencias con su propio estilo personal, pero tranquilas eso no significa que voy a dejarlas cortas de inspiración. Piensen en enfrentamiento de colores, contrastes, estampados ... con una mezcla salvaje de colores y texturas. 

Me decidí a usar contrastes en este post con un vestido que me obsequió un gran amigo diseñador Noé Roa es de shiffon, en capas de color púrpura y quise hacer un contraste con un collar grueso amarillo de María Simon para un sábado casual de primavera, añadí un toque de metal con un maxi clutch,  todo resumido a una serie de contrastes que sin duda deben de intentar!

Many women are afraid to layer their clothes for fear of looking bigger than they actually are. While logic would lead one to believe that this claim is true, if you’ve mastered the art of layering this couldn’t be further from the truth. A perfectly layered look will compliment your curves and create the illusion of a more proportional silhouette!

***Muchas mujeres tienen miedo al layering de la ropa por miedo a parecer más anchas de lo que realmente son. Mientras la lógica llevaría a pensar que esta afirmación es cierta, si dominas el arte del layering es totalmente lo contrario. En un look en capas se complementan perfectamente tus curvas y creas la ilusión de una silueta mucho más proporcional.

Look of the day: Layers

Today's weather is so annoying. One second you're outside shivering, the next you're inside sweating. In order to survive the winter weather, you must master the art of layering. 

Not only will you stay warm, but it's also a great way to show off your unique sense of style. Make the most of what you have in your closet by layering different pieces each day. You might end up with a killer outfit that you didn't even realize you had!

So I mixed and matched a simple white shirt with a gray buttoned cardigan, and a black blazer on top, and a pair of black skinny trousers. Accesorizing it with golden vintage earings, golden cage necklace and a golden watch, to add a classy/vintage touch I used a a black quilted bag with a golden chain, as for the shoes a pair of black high heels with red soles !
